Western Filament

Western Filament Incorporated is an organization, which has combined its rich history with the ability to continually adapt to market and technology changes in order to provide customers with innovative, high quality, and superior man-made fiber products. When founded in 1938, the organization primarily made laces for corsets and shoes; with the introduction of nylon in the 1940's (the first synthetic fiber) Western Filament was influential in the development of specifications and manufacturing requirements for parachute cords. Today, the company is focused on more high-tech industrial oriented products using synthetic materials such as polyester, nylon, Nomex®, Kevlar ®, Nextel® (ceramic), PTFE, PEEK®, Ryton®, Halar®, Vectran®, and Spectra® which are targeted for the Motor Manufacturing, Automotive, Aerospace, Recreational, and many other Textile markets. The stringent manufacturing and quality requirements demanded by these industries are a perfect match with Western Filament's "start-to-end" manufacturing capabilities. As a registered and approved ISO 9001 and AS9100 organization, our in-house Engineering, Research & Development, Testing Lab, Dye House, and Coating capabilities provide our customers with the confidence and assurances to develop long-term solutions to their needs. As a result, Western Filament, Inc. is an approved supplier for organizations such as Panasonic, Boeing, Rolls Royce, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, USA, and NASA. Western Filament's employees are knowledgeable, dedicated, and driven to provide exceptional products and service. Western Filament, Inc. is a textile manufacturing facility specializing in braided, twisted, coated, and dyed fibers. We have over seventy years of operating experience in the manufacturing and processing of man-made fibers.
