The WCPA

Since 1907 the WCPA has been providing quality training and assistance to over 400 member Chiefs of Police and associate members of their command staff and other law enforcement officers and advisors. Our membership includes law enforcement professionals from many ranks with municipal police agencies, but is also strengthened by our partnerships with many county, state, and federal affiliates. The WCPA prides itself on providing professional, high caliber, training and assistance to our members through many programs and opportunities. Through its partner organization, the Wisconsin Police Leadership Foundation, the WCPA provides two training conferences annually in both the winter and summer months. The WCPA-WPLF's annual winter training conference has become one of the premier training and networking events for law enforcement executives in the Midwest. We are also very pleased that the WCPA has renewed its partnership with the International Chiefs of Police Association's (IACP) "Police Chief Mentoring Program" for our member chiefs to provide mentoring services locally within our state to newly appointed police chiefs. The WCPA also provides services to its members through our numerous committees including the legislative committee which has partnered with several other Wisconsin public safety associations to serve as part of the Wisconsin Public Safety Coalition regarding legislative matters with an impact on public safety over a broad range of interests including not only law enforcement, but also the fire service, emergency medical services, prosecutors, court services, and more. I am deeply honored and humbled to have been elected by our members to serve as President of and primary representative for what I consider to be one of the finest law enforcement organizations in existence.
