William Birch & Sons

Founded in 1874, William Birch & Sons Ltd is one of the region's longest established family owned construction companies. Five generations of the Birch family have developed the company to its present day strength with a turnover of circa £20m and employing almost 100 local people, building on our reputation for quality construction and heritage skills. The business started life in York, building and restoring many of the city's high profile properties that we all know today, including the York Minster Library, Fairfax House, Kings Manor and the York Explore Library. Today in 2014 the Birch family remain a very active part of the business, supported and directed by a team of highly skilled craftsmen and business leaders. Whilst our history is firmly rooted in the City of York we have also expanded our operations into Leeds and offer a full construction and refurbishment service to all parts of the region and beyond.
