Williamsferry

Williamsferry House offers quality bed and breakfast accommodation in the heart of Tipperary in the friendly town of Nenagh. The house has its own private car park and garden. Being located on a quiet residential street which is only a three minute walk from the town centre, you can shop, dine and generally relax and enjoy your stay in Nenagh. It is also only a 10 minute walk to Nenagh's Abbey Court Hotel. Built in 1839 by Captain Fintan Lawlor, Williamsferry was one of six places of worship in the town of Nenagh serving as an Independent Chapel during the 19th century. By the early 1870's it served as a Savings Bank and in 1909 it served as a residence to the Whitehead family when they decided to make Williamsferry their home for almost 30 years. From the house they also operated their own locomotive engineering business which provided the railway tracks for the local railway line. From early 1940's other families made Williamsferry their home and these include in (1941) John Alley and family, (1947) George McCutcheon, (1950) Kathleen Atkinson, (1967) Valette Family and in 1992 Mary (nee Valette) and Brian Devine decided with their family to make it their home and after refurbishing the House for Guest Accommodation, opened for business in 1993. Today Williamsferry offers comfortable accommodation to the business traveller and tourist alike. For almost two decades, we have been welcoming guests to stay at Williamsferry House, a charming bed and breakfasttownhouse where you are assured of a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Guests enjoy one big homely breakfast. It is important to us that you enjoy your stay and if you have any particular needs please let us know.
