Wounded Warrior Homes

Steve and Mia Roseberry founded Wounded Warrior Homes to support those who serve our country by honoring their sacrifices and easing the challenges faced by those who suffer from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) as a result of their service. They use their respective career expertise and skills as real estate investors to provide transitional housing to service members with TBI and PTSD. Steve is a general contractor and home inspector with 25+ years of experience who believes his talents are best used serving his community. His expertise includes remodeling homes to ensure they meet ADA compliance standards. Mia is a fourth-generation descendant of U.S. Marines, was an Emergency Medical Technician and retired as a special education teacher. The survivor of a horrific childhood automobile accident that left her with permanent hearing loss, she has firsthand experience with the effects of TBI and the effort it takes to return to a normal life. Steve and Mia realized the need for Wounded Warrior Homes after opening their home to more than 20 U.S. Marines as a weekend place of refuge; they saw how the comforts of home provided a sense of security to active-duty service members. Wounded Warrior Homes provides long-term affordable housing for up to 2.5 years for qualified veterans. The dormitory-style homes continue camaraderie while residents heal on their own time. Upon "graduation" from Wounded Warrior Homes, each resident will have saved for his own vehicle, rental deposit and/or VA home loan down payment. Through Wounded Warrior Homes' alliance partners, each will be provided all the resources required to rejoin the workforce or start his own Disabled Veteran Owned Business Enterprise (DVBE).
