WRPS Ltd. was founded in November 2007 by owners Barry & Diane Grime who started the company from the living room of their home in Westhoughton. Barry undertook most of the works by himself travelling to various locations throughout the northern part of England, working long hours and weekends and with a young family at home many a day was spent working away to fulfill his dream of one day having his own thriving enterprise. Very soon the company started to expand and Barry saw the need to recruit further contractors to assist in the ever growing work from clients, so much so in February 2010 he rented premises at Cale Lane, Wigan where he was able to establish further contacts with other building contractors, undertaking sub-contracting works for them which included a variety of brickwork projects. Due to the success of the sub-contracting partnerships Barry turned his vision to offering contractors a more in-depth service to include roofing, PVC works and soon after introducing a scaffolding service. With these expansions in place he employed a Contracts Manager to oversee and liase with other contractors and clients to develop the company further. With the introduction of more services required larger premises so Barry still to this day rents an area of land at Horwich Loco Works for his scaffold wagons and equipment, which is an ideal location for access just off the M61 at Bolton. With this expansion the offices at Cale Lane were vacated and the office is now situated at larger premises at Rosebridge Court in Ince, Wigan since December 2012. Since then we have managed to secure and successfully deliver several Principal Contracting Partnerships and Frameworks throughout the North West and achieved both high satisfaction from clients and customers. With these achievements it has lead to the employment of our own in-house Operations Manager, Commercial Manager, Health and Safety Manager, Site Managers and TLO who can deliver the full project schemes in-house from start to finish. In 2016 Barry and Diane took a step down from their original roles but are still involved with the overall running of the company, but leave the day to day running to the Board of Directors following internal promotions.
