Y Pant School

Y Pant is a mixed comprehensive school for pupils from eleven to eighteen years of age, maintained by Rhondda Cynon Taf Education Authority and managed by the Governing Body. An average of about two hundred pupils are admitted each year with a Sixth Form of over one hundred and eighty. There are currently over 1150 pupils in the school. All pupils attending the link primary schools are offered a place at Y Pant. However, the school also welcomes applications from all parents regardless of home address. If you wish your child to attend Y Pant, please contact the school as early as possible when your requirements may be discussed and all necessary information provided. There are twenty five one hour lessons each week. Lessons in the morning start at 8.30 am and finish at 1.10 pm. Afternoon lessons start at 2.00 pm finishing at 3.00 pm. The school office is open from 8.15 am to 3.15 pm to deal with enquiries.
