We are happy that you are considering joining us at YWAM Harpenden! As you think and pray about your future we want to give you a little insight into who we are and what we do here. The purpose of YWAM Harpenden is to love God and multiply His Kingdom as Jesus revealed it; creating a community where young people learn to live as followers of Jesus, and are equipped and sent out together to bless the nations. We are part of the University of the Nations and serve as an international training campus. We are a multi-generational, international missions community of about 120 staff, 50 children and 120 trainees each year. We have had the joy of being YWAM Harpenden for about 25 years. Most people are here for a shorter time as God equips them and sends them out. However long you are here, you have the opportunity to experience the incredible richness of God's goodness, learning to know Him more and make Him known. With Jesus at the centre of our missions community, we welcome all whom He calls. Together we are YWAM Harpenden. Listed below are some ministry opportunities that we are looking to have filled. Although we do need these filled, we are happy to welcome you, no matter your skills or passions! The deadline for completed applications (with all references handed in) for the January intake is Monday 1st December. What is life like at YWAM Harpenden? When you apply, you are not just coming to serve a particular ministry, you are applying to become part of the family. We use teams as the basic building block of how we function as a base. Everyone is part of a team of three to eight people with a team leader. This mirrors the YWAM value of functioning in teams, which allows for accountability, motivation and responsibility. The rhythm of life also includes worship and prayer, pursuing the power and presence of Christ. Like all of YWAM, we are committed to corporate and small group worship and intercession. This includes times of intercession, an evening community meeting of worship and teaching, as well as prayer in your team and with your friends. We are moving towards having each of our staff equipped to pray for one another, our trainees, our guests and local Christians.
