Zinifex
Zinifex Limited (ASX: ZFX), one of the world's largest integrated zinc and lead producers, is headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, with production facilities in Australia, the Netherlands, and the United States. The open cut Zinifex Century Mine is the second largest zinc mine in the world measured both on production and on reserves. The Century deposit was discovered in 1990 by CRA (now Rio Tinto), purchased by Pasminco in 1997, and has a mine life of 20 years. Zinifex also operates the Rosebery mine in Tasmania, an underground mine that produces zinc, lead, silver, gold, and copper.
