PT International Chemical Industry

PT International Chemical Industry or PT Intercallin is an Indonesian company that produces electric battery and flashlight under the ABC brand. It has several battery products, including ABC Alkaline (alkaline battery, ABC Dry Cell (dry cell battery), ABC New Special, and ABC Super Power. The company was founded in Medan, North Sumatra in 1959 under the name PT Everbright by Chu Sam Yak (Chandra Djojonegoro), a Chinese Indonesian tycoons and entrepreneur from Medan who also founded Orang Tua consumer products company and ABC Central Food. In 1968, a second factory was built in Jakarta and in 1982, a third factory was built in Surabaya under the name PT Hari Terang Industrial Co. Ltd.
