Aberdeen Hall
At Aberdeen Hall, the development of extra-curricular activities is designed to provide the students with positive experiences that help to expand their knowledge, physical growth and development, and social and personal skills. Through our clubs and athletics programme we strive to help the students develop an appreciation for a variety of life experiences. Examples of clubs we have offered are; Shakespeare Drama, Cross Country Running, Yoga, Ballet, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Spanish, Basketball, Golf, Field Hockey, Professional Vocals, and Musical. Clubs occur between 3:15pm and 4:15pm Monday through Thursday, and during lunch recess. All students are encouraged to participate and at last count, we had close to 90% of the students involved in at least one club. Ice skating and swimming are also offered to each of the students for a six week period during our school day as part of the PE curriculum . Aberdeen Hall provides our students with the opportunity to try as many new activities as possible. Clubs are operated by the teachers and specialist instructors, and some of the clubs have cost recovery fees. Each term, the clubs are adjusted depending on demand and interest. We welcome parent suggestions for new clubs and welcome their help in clubs. Below is a brief description of the clubs offered in previous terms. Next terms clubs list will be published at the beginning of the term.
