Academics West

At Academics West, our mission is to improve the academic and personal functioning of students by use of various scientifically grounded academic interventions. Directed by Dr. Jeffrey Kassinove and Dr. Flamenbaum, a former Dean of Students at a Manhattan private school, Academics West is staffed by experienced educators with superior training. They provide such services as academic coaching, ADHD coaching, subject tutoring, standardized test preparation, and college placement. The educational methods utilized by Academics West are matched to each student's learning profile. t Academics West, we believe that understanding the mind is essential to teaching children how to learn efficiently. These psychologists are actively involved in the development of our academic programming, ensuring that our work is informed by scientific practice. Student success is also based on our unique metacognitive learning strategies, which teach students to become autonomous and motivated learners.
