Access Legal Care was born out of the recognition that the legal industry hasn't evolved to meet the needs of modern legal consumers. Bert Whitehead IV, JD, MBA started Access Legal Care in Michigan in 2011 to provide top-tier legal services, with improved customer service, for 40-60% less cost than the average law firm. Based in Redford, MI and Oak Park, IL, the company utilizes a unique "Primary Care Attorney" business model; a 21st Century law-firm practice system optimized with Lean Six Sigma; and an automated legal-services delivery platform called PlanetXLaw to profitably provide affordable legal services to lower- and moderate-income consumers in the most common areas of law that the average individual may need over his or her lifetime-- family law, simple estate and probate, property law, landlord/tenant issues, and civil litigation, among others.
