ACHLEITNER was established in 1932. Having started out as a blacksmiths they have grown into a medium-sized company. However, it is still a family business, employing around 180 staff with an annual sales of approximately 30 million Euro. Our company headquarters are in Wörgl (Tyrol) and we also have production facilities in the neighboring town of Radfeld. We are involved in the fields of vehicle production, security vehicles (civilian and military armored vehicles) and also in the tire trade. The vehicle production division covers: Development and production of a wide range of bodies and trailers for transport: Wide range of tarpaulins and box bodies Troop transporters Wooden transport bodies Container loading platforms Hook equipment Crane bodies Mobile workshops Trailers for all these applications down to light and heavy low loaders of up to 80 tons - with/without articulated axles - air or hydraulics - suspension We also manufacture specialized vehicles such as: Special trailers for promotion events Motor sports vehicles (motor homes) Broadcasting vehicles for TV and radio, etc. Mobile kitchens Custom-made vehicles Trade fair stands, etc. Our products are highly valued and are widely used by European and foreign transport companies as well as government authorities and the military. Our security vehicles division covers: Development and production of armored vehicles for civilian and military use. We began by producing armored security vehicles and armored off-road vehicles for police operations. The growing demand for these vehicles led us to extend our product range. Over the last few years (since 1979) we have been able to build on our broadbased experience. Continuous improvements and modifications have made our company Austria's number one specialists in the production of armored vehicles. We have invested heavily in development and materials testing. This also includes our own in-house ballistics range, which enables us to carry out preliminary testing of material combinations faster and without unnecessary bureaucracy. In addition, many trials have been and continue to be carried out in conjunction with the Fraunhofer Institute, the Federal Criminal Investigation Agency and various ballistics laboratories. Our tire trade division covers: Sale and assembly of all current tire models from automobiles and trucks to heavy machinery. Our tire dealers and service companies are located at a total of 8 sites in Western Austria.
