the story of madagascar caviar began in 2009. it was an ambitious challenge taken up by delphyne, christophe dabezies and alexandre guerrier who met in france during their higher education studies and then settled in madagascar at the end of the 1990s. driven by a common desire to achieve challenges, they decided to set up a caviar business. the acipenser sturgeon farm is spread over two facilities, one onshore and the other in a lake, in the rural district of ambatolaona, about an hour and a half drive from the capital antananarivo. the onshore facility was set up in 2009 and the lake facility in 2015. after years of work, the first caviar was produced on june 26, 2017, on madagascar's national holiday. it bears the name of rova caviar, the luxury maison of the acipenser farm. « rova » refers to the name of the queen's palace overlooking the capital, antananarivo ; a national emblem stamped on the cans of « black gold. » in 2018, the farm’s second brand was created under the name k
