American Discovery is headquartered in Glasgow, MO, a quaint little river town of 1200 in the Heart of America. Our Story is a great one of Determination to create a different outcome and future for our Team of talented people. It all started after the announcement that our +50 year old sleeping bag factory was to be closed in 2008. At that time a group of Community oriented investors helped us make it possible to reDiscover our Drive for success...and American Discovery was born. Our production facility has great history in the manufacture of insulated and barrier products, playing a significant role in the development of some of the most innovative sleep, comfort, support, shelter systems in the market today. We specialize in handling materials designed to offer protection from all the elements, whether the application be for something used in the great outdoors or inside. Not to mention that we made the largest sleeping bag ever according to Guinness! It is the mission of American Discovery to deliver the highest quality "Unquestionably Made in America" products available today. We are both a Retailer of our own select products and a Manufacturing partner for Companies with their own unique product designs who would prefer to have them made in the USA. We are a true supply chain partner for these Companies, big and small, working with them to provide sourcing, product design and development, scaled production and even mass distribution services.
