Option Impact is the evolution of the conventional "salary survey" from Advanced-HR, Inc. - a company founded in 1997 to provide essential online stock and pay decision support services to companies that compensate with stock options. When Advanced-HR was created, it sought to establish a reliable and methodical source of complete pre-IPO stock and pay information. At the time, most critical decisions in startups were being made based on random information, word of mouth and speculation. Building on founder Dee DiPietro's ten years of success in structuring stock and pay plans for high-tech startups, Advanced-HR pioneered the first comprehensive survey of stock, pay and business practices in pre-IPO technology companies. The result was the Advanced Equity Report - and it set the standard in quantitative workforce intelligence. The response was overwhelming. By 1998, Advanced Equity Report grew to accommodate nationwide demands as Advanced-HR dramatically enhanced its database. Continuing to focus on client needs and disregarding conventional "data gathering" methods, Advanced-HR concentrated efforts on pioneering a way to bring its innovation online - easy to access, secure, up-to-the-minute, and time saving. And so, Option Impact came into being as the natural online evolution of the Advanced Equity Report - and another industry first. Option Impact launched successfully in early 2000 as a powerful, integrated online application that delivered real-time information to pre-IPO companies and their venture investors.
