African Adventure Tours was established in August 2002 and licensed as a ground tour operator by the Gambia Tourism Authority, and also as a travel agent by the Gambia Civil Aviation Authority. A dynamic working environment, combined with innovative programs, have made us one of the best and fastest growing Ground Tour operators in the country. This has been achieved by the dedication and commitment to quality service of our professional team of staff. In the past years we have handled thousands of tourists exploring the Gambia and Senegal. Recently we explored Guinea-Bissau and we are in the process of adding this new and exciting destination to our excursions and round trips. We offer the following services: Destination management Airport and resort transfers Excursions within and outside the Gambia Airline ticketing Hotel reservations Round trips Conferences and incentives Logistics for cruise liners We are the agents for the following organisations: Corendun (Holland) F.T.I. (Germany) Africa By Excellence (Belgium) We own a fleet of air-conditioned coaches, mini coaches, land rovers, trucks and boats. Our well situated office is fully computerised and has been equipped with all the necessary tools for smooth destination management. As a company we are dedicated to quality service for our customers, and over the years we have developed a good reputation and an excellent relationship with hotels and suppliers. Our team consist of seven members responsible for the logistics, reservations and ticketing, and 20 experienced enthusiastic drivers and guides, with the expertise to handle our complete package of excursions and round trips. The company is very diverse. In 2006 we were responsable for all the coach transfers during the African Union Heads of State summit. On the request of Air Rep Services (the biggest airline handling agent in the Gambia) we arrange all transfers for stranded passengers. Another aspect is the handling of groups, especially from the US, for those who are in search for their "Roots". Although incentives are not frequently coming into the Gambia, we did organise quite a few successfully. One of our activities since the inception of the company is ticket sales for the chartered flights of our partners. A lot has been invested in the knowledge of travel documents. Workshops, for example from the British High Commission and the Royal Dutch Immigration, are being attended on a regular base. We have an good relationship with various embassies. Recently we are also authorized as an agent of Brussels Airlines and we expect to be an IATA licensed company.
