JSC Almalyk Mining-Metallurgical Complex engages in mining, exploring, and producing noble and non-ferrous metal ores in Uzbekistan. It produces a range of mineral ores, including gold, silver, copper, molybdenum, sulfur, chalcopyrite, pyrrotine, pyrite, chalcosine, molybdenite, bismuth, selenium, tellurium, rhenium, bornite, sphalerite, galenete, and hematite. The company also produces refined copper cathodes, refined gold and silver bars, commercial selenium and tellurium, sulfuric acid, copper sulfate, ammonium perrhenate, burned molybdenum intermediate products, and enameled copper conductors; zinc and copper concentrates, as well as metal cadmium ingots, zinc powder, alloys, commercial zinc sulfate, and copper clinkers and cakes for use in automobile, engineering, and household appliances industries; and zinc pig metal, powdery tellurium, copper tubes, and Portland and white cement. In addition, it engages in processing marble blocks; growing vegetables; providing livestock breeding and cottage industry services; producing milk, baked goods, bottled mineral water, and organic fertilizers; and manufacturing clothing, stockings and socks, plastic windows, office furniture, respirators, polyethylene articles, and construction nails. Further, the company manufactures spare parts, repairing pieces, motor transport and special machinery, welded metal constructions and nonstandard equipment, and rubberizing industrial rubber articles, as well as steel, iron, and nonferrous castings to perform repair and preventive maintenance needs of the mining-metallurgical complex; and operates a rail network for the transportation of ores and cargos to its plants.
