AH Riise Mall

A family-owned business, A.H. Riise is also a company rich in island history and tradition. The company first opened its doors as the A.H. Riise Apothecary in 1838, when Albert Heinrich Riise became Denmark's official dispenser of pharmaceuticals to St. Thomas. The Riise family owned and operated the pharmacy for seventy six years. In 1913, the Riise holdings were sold to Olaf Poulsen, a Copenhagen pharmacist, and in 1928 to the Paiewonsky-Cassinelli family, who own the company today. While there have been many changes at A.H. Riise over the past 177 years, the same dedication to quality, value and exceptional customer service that were hallmarks of the A.H. Riise Apothecary in the early 1800s continue today.
