AIS Environment is a professional environmental consultancy firm, providing a whole range of independent environmental services to suit customers' needs. Our comprehensive approach guides our clients through all the regulatory requirements, from pre-development permitting applications all through complex impact assessments, environmental auditing and post completion monitoring. Such services manifest themselves in planning applications, traffic impact assessments, IPPC permitting land use, environmental impact assessment and environmental monitoring. AIS Environment has amassed years of experience through first-hand knowledge of relevant environmental matters in the local and international scene. AIS Environment specialises in professional land use and environmental planning, environmental impact assessment, strategic environmental assessment, IPPC, land decontamination, as well as resource and waste management, urban and marine development, traffic impact assessment, retail impact assessment, social impact analysis, environmental management systems, auditing, institutional strengthening and capacity building. Our services include undertaking surveys and establishing baselines in-house or through our association with highly qualified and experienced professionals. We prepare documents such as Project Description Statements (PDS), Environmental Planning Statements, Environmental Impact Statements (EIA), Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA), Appropriate Assessments in accordance with LN 311/2006 (Habitats Directive), Traffic Impact Statements (TIS), Environmental Permit Applications, and several others. We formulate Land Use Management Plans, carry out Traffic Safety Assessments and Modelling. We also provide training in Environmental Management Systems such as EMAS, ISO 14001, Waste Minimisation Programmes and the EU Eco-Label Scheme and assist in their implementation. The Managing Director is a Director of the international Extend Producer Responsibility Alliance (EXPRA), sits on the Energy & Environment Committee of the Malta Chamber of Commerce Enterprise and Industry and is a founding member of the Malta Institute of Waste Management, serving for a number of years as its President.
