Whilst undeniably Australian in culture and atmosphere, the school is a colourful and inclusive international community, catering to 1,100 students from over 25 different nationalities. Founded in 1995, AISHK is a non-profit, co-educational day school for students from Preparatory to Year 12 plus a Reception (K2) kindergarten class. Operating on an Australian school year (late January to mid-December), AISHK is the only school in Hong Kong to offer the Australian curriculum, with the option for senior students, in their final two years, to study either the New South Wales Higher School Certificate (NSW HSC) or the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBDP). By offering these two matriculation curriculums, students can easily transition from and to Australia and elsewhere around the world as confident, prepared and adept young people. Results achieved by graduates in both the HSC and IBDP are consistently outstanding and the school is committed to delivering an environment that truly balances academic excellence and student well-being.
