Allmetra
Allmetra has focused on measurement and control technology since Walter Burgunder set up Allmetra Messtechnik as a sole proprietorship in 1968, in Zurich's Seebach district. In 1973, he began to specialise in the production of resistance thermometers and thermocouples of all types. In view of the growing internationalisation of the business, the sole proprietorship was transformed into a public limited company in 1991. In 1994, Walter's nephew Fredy Burgunder took over management of the company. Under his leadership the product range was continuously extended and improved. Only two years later, Allmetra AG was awarded ISO 9002 certification. This was an important step for the further development of products and services, the optimisation of processes, and the expansion of manufacturing. In 2004, the company moved to its current premises at Flughofstrasse in Glattbrugg. Close to the airport, we were able to improve our offerings for overseas transport and to modernise our employees' workplaces. Following Fredy Burgunder's sudden death in 2010, his son Noah Burgunder took over the management of Allmetra AG, successfully leading it into the next generation. Also thanks to ATEX certification of the cable sensors product range in 2011, we have continued to develop both our technology and our business, constantly working closely with our valued customers to jointly forge the future.
