ALMA SPORTS CLUB

Celebrating its 83rd anniversary this year, the Alma Sports Club has produced wide-eyed reactions from first time visitors. Stunned to discover this treasure, visitors and members can enjoy sporting and social life backed by the glorious flora of the Willis Teague green. The Club has an enticing environment and caters for everyone's needs from hearty revelry to international sports success. During the club's 83 years there has been many international sports stars emerge from the club - Pat Rafter has enjoyed belting backhands on the three en tous cas tennis courts. Squash legend, Geoff Hunt called "Alma" home, as does World Champion, Sarah Fitzgerald. One of the most popular past times at the club is Lawns bowls ranging from competitive pennant competitions to jolly "barefoot bowls" and sausage sizzles in the wake of the hit movie, Crackerjack. Along with our bistro, function rooms, new outside terrace area (to be completed September 2010), tennis courts, synthetic bowling green and squash courts there is something for everyone at the Alma Sports Club.
