Åmåls kommun

Amal is located in the northern part of the county and borders which to Värmland. Åmåls municipality was formed January 1, 1971 through the merger of Åmåls city and Tössbo municipality. Train and bus connections to and from Amal works very well and the nearest airport is located in Karlstad. Amal has a well-developed child care, good educational opportunities, high level of service in the care and good access to housing. This, combined with the proximity to nature, leisure activities and good transport links makes Amal is a very good place to live and work in.
