Amber Charter School

Amber Charter School was founded in 2000 as the first Latino-led charter school in New York State by the Community Association of Progressive Dominicans (ACDP), a community-based organization. The school is located in East Harlem and Kingsbridge. In the fall of 2017, they moved their temporary Washington Heights location to a permanent space in Kingsbridge. In East Harlem, they serve close to 500 students in grades K to 5. In Kingsbridge, they serve over 250 students in grades K and 2 since 2016.
