The Academic Medical Center (AMC) is a leading Netherlands research institution and hospital. Over 7,000 people work here to provide integrated patient care, fundamental and clinical scientific research, and teaching. AMC has 45 clinical and non-clinical departments, covering all the medical specializations recognized in the Netherlands. The hospital treats around 26,000 in-patients and 350,000 outpatients per year.
