American Custom Contractors was founded in 1972 by Alex and Angie Giakoumatos, who resided in Gaithersburg, Montgomery County with their small family. Over the years, as their business developed from a small carpentry operation into a full-scale remodeling company, their family also grew. Alex and Angie are parents of four children, who have all become active members of the local community. In 1997, their sons, William and Demetri Giakoumatos, partnered with them to continue the growth of American Custom Contractors. Under this new leadership, the company expanded their service area and trades and the Commercial Services division was developed. The company moved to their current location at 15728 Crabbs Branch Way, Rockville, MD in 2005, so the staff could be more centrally located and better service ongoing projects and estimate requests. When Alex and Angie founded American Custom Contractors, they were dedicated to building their business based on honesty, quality craftsmanship and the integrity required to do the job right the first time. Today, we continue their tradition as we become forerunners in the Residential, Commercial, and Insurance Restorations industries. Times change, but our mission has not.
