Through the skills and experience of its staff and its relationships with specialist consultants, Amplitude can deliver successful outcomes for a broad range of consulting engagements associated with AC power transmission and distribution, HVDC power transmission, renewable energy project connections, high voltage land and submarine cables, power electronics and Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS). With a view to developing long term relationships with its clients, Amplitude is a delivery focused company and aims to meet our client's expectations through the selection of experienced team members with a proven track record of delivering high quality consulting outcomes. The Director and Principal Consultant for Amplitude is Les Brand (FIEAust, CPEng, RPEQ). Les is an experienced electrical engineer with over 23 years of experience in the transmission and distribution industry in Australia, Asia and the USA. He has held senior and executive roles within the power transmission and distribution sectors, including utilities, consultancies and private companies. In addition to his experience in AC power transmission and distribution projects, operations and maintenance, Les has worked for the past 17 years within the High Voltage Director Current (HVDC) industry, specialising in the development, specification, commissioning and operation of HVDC projects.
