Anderson School

The Spring 2010 State Criterion Reference Test results were mailed Monday, October 4th, to parents/guardians of Anderson School. Students in grades 3-8 participated in this state assessment. The overall and individual results were outstanding. I believe our high scores are the result of excellent teaching, students that come to school ready to learn and parents/guardians that care deeply about their children's education. The Anderson Learning Community should be well pleased with our accomplishments. If you have not received your child's results or have questions regarding the scores please do not hesitate to call the school office at 587-1305. A very important employee of Anderson School will be retiring and leaving the District on December 31st. Mrs. Linda Svensrud, business manager and clerk, submitted her resignation last month. Linda has been a dedicated employee for 12 years at Anderson. We will miss her wisdom and conservative approach to school budgeting. The Trustees have advertised the position and hope to hire someone by the end of October. Mrs. Svensrud has agreed to mentor the new business manager/clerk for a couple of months before she retires. Thank you Linda; we greatly appreciate your years of service. Did you know Anderson School has a football team? Last spring, Anderson School agreed to participate in a three school, grade 7/8 contact football program made up of Gateway, Monforton and Anderson students. Cade Lohss, Austin Collins and Kale Evenson have made the commitment and travel to Monforton each day after school to practice. A football game schedule is posted on the bulletin board next to the H.E. office.
