Apache Stainless Equipment

Apache Stainless Equipment Corporation was founded in 1975. We are a manufacturer of high-quality commercial industrial and wholesale capital equipment for a diverse customer base. We fabricate custom and standard products using stainless steel, aluminum and other higher alloys. While we serve a wide variety of industries, our products are most commonly found in food, pharmaceutical, water treatment, chemical, biofuel, petroleum, health & beauty, pulp & paper, and beverage applications. The company started manufacturing large stainless steel tanks in a modest 14,000 sq. ft. building in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. Over the next eight years, we experienced steady growth, which resulted in a new 46,250 sq. ft. facility in Beaver Dam in 1983. Our continuous expansion in the industry led the organization to build a 20,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Plover, Wisconsin in 1990 to support this additional growth. Our Plover facility is used primarily for non-sanitary, stainless steel (and higher alloy) vessel fabrication. In 1993, Apache Stainless acquired Mepaco, a manufacturer of high-quality stainless steel food equipment machinery. Originally founded in 1932, Mepaco had established a reputation for excellent quality and a well-known brand name. Mepaco product manufacturing was relocated from Oakland, California, to Beaver Dam. Mepaco manufactures vacuum stuffers and mixer-blenders, as well as, other material handling and process equipment. Mepaco has several pieces of patented equipment, while its molds and pressure clamping devices are considered the industry standard. One year later in 1994, we established a small vessel group which primarily manufactures vessels ranging in size from 1 liter to 55 gallons for the pharmaceutical, bio-pharma, semi-conductor, bio-fuels, chemical, and water treatment industries. Our contract manufacturing group was created in 1999 to address more customized fabrication needs for our customers. Today, contract manufacturing provides services for a diverse customer base in a wide range of industries. Additionally, we have an on-site electropolishing system which improves the quality, timeliness and cost efficiencies of electropolishing fabricated vessels and equipment. The electropolishing division also sub-contracts its services to outside vendors. Continued growth led to the largest expansion of our Beaver Dam facility in 2000. We increased manufacturing square footage by almost 54,000 sq. ft. to give us a total of 100,000 sq. ft. in Beaver Dam. Subsequent expansions increased our total manufacturing space between the Beaver Dam and Plover facilities to nearly 200,000 sq. ft. Since our inception, Apache has been providing dedicated, timely and damage-free delivery of our products. With no dependency on sub-contractors, Apache provides direct door-to-door transport. Apache Stainless became a subsidiary of Dexter Apache Holdings, Inc. in 2006, allowing us to become 100% employee-owned. We are well-known for our on-time delivery of high-quality products and services to our customers. Our ownership culture empowers employee-owners, allowing us to operate in a highly efficient, service-oriented manner that enables us to deliver exceptional value.
