Armazém Paraíba

Armazém Paraíba is a leading Brazilian retail company of department stores, based in Teresina and stands out among the largest retail chains in the country, employing more than 15,000 direct employees. Located in the North and Northeast of Brazil, it was founded in 1958 in the city of Bacabal, in the Brasilian state of Maranhão. Armazém Paraíba stores offer a large range of products, among them furniture, electronics, household appliances, fabrics, clothing, footwear, bedding, accessories, and gifts. Today, the Armazém Paraíba has more than 300 retail outlets in the country, in the north and northeast of Brazil, located in the following states: Paraíba, Piauí, Pernambuco, Ceará, Bahia, Amazonas, Pará, Goiás and Tocantins. According to Instituto Folha Folha, in 2006 and 2007, Armazém Paraíba was ranked as one of the most well known brands for furniture and appliance stores.
