The project was founded in 2014, as a free service, distributing contemporary art, accessible to anyone with an internet access. The concept reflects on art, as a progressive and bridgebuilding tool, able to build bridges between cultures and their different domains and is also a catalyst for innovative human-promoting projects. This is the key argument for ARTICULATE to create high-quality content, conceptualized in an art magazine which is published quarterly. The magazine is published since 2014 in English and in Danish, since October 2018. ARTICULATE is produced with a strong innovative force that, with a shared-economic approach, seeks to disseminate contemporary art to a wider range of society, which is why the journal is available digitally for free, while also being offered in a qualitative print. The magazine has no print-stock, as we want to protect the environment and meet the climatic changes caused by CO2 emissions and overconsumption. The printed magazines are on-demand (POD) and can be purchased through the website. ARTICULATE was launched by Carmen Line Hust in 2014 and is based on the meeting with the state institution, such as the museum, as being an elitist accessible phenomenon. We live in a society where efficiency and performance are key words in our everyday lives. We simply do not have enough hours in the day to achieve everything we want, ought to and should, why the elite, in this context, is restricted to the part of the population group that has temporal and financial surplus. However, few people have these freedoms. Most services have undergone an upgrade through digitalization since 2000, while the premises of art seem unchanged. Both the state institutions, museums, exhibition venues, galleries, etc. (several with paid entrance), have inflexible opening hours and are unable to accommodate the busy citizen who, with increasing busyness, lacks hours a day to be able to take part in cultural life. ARTICULATE aims to solve this, by expanding the preconditions of art and providing a cultural art service 24/7, in the time range available to the individual user and at no cost. ARTICULATE publish the magazine on a quarterly basis, in order to develop a user experience that can meet the sacrifices we each must make, to fully participate in a hurried and distressed society. We aim to develop a user experience that can bring people together in their cultural interests and expect the user experience to be aesthetically pleasing to a higher cultural level, on a par with the experience of attending an exhibition. or go to a museum. ARTICULATE is dedicated to the advocacy and distribution of art, manifested in a quarterly published art magazine. VISION we distribute art to all layers of society, taking the art out of the art gallery and into the hearts of people. Art educates, transforms and is a lead process for the progress in humanity. We believe that art should be accessible to any person.
