Astro assists web developers in building websites. Astro is an MIT-licensed open source build tool that renders directly to HTML and CSS. Astro also supports different well known frameworks such as react, preact, svelte, solid, vue, and more. Astro was established in 2019 by Fred K. Schott in San Francisco, California.
