Atlantic Schools

Atlantic Schools was set up by a group of parents, professional workers and educators in 1977, the main objective being that of being able to provide the Canarian people with a quality education, one which would be creative and innovative, and most importantly, one which would be people centered. Throughout these years, almost 3,000 families have passed through the school, all looking for the same thing - children and young people who would be brought up in an environment where liberty and dignity reigned, where the basic human values taught would help them to become free, independent human beings with a deep sense of critical awareness and solidarity. In this project, the families play the most fundamental part - they are the children's first and most important educators, their presence and participation is invaluable. By the same token, we understand education to be the education of the person as a whole. All our schools follow the same educational model where singularity, autonomy and openness go hand in hand. We are committed to constant improvement of our quality of teaching, bilingualism and sporting activities, as well as nurturing the school's personal spirit and the constant communication with our families. We support our families, many of whom are ex students and whose passage through our schools has played an important part.
