Atticus

Atticus was founded in 1989 to provide in-depth, ongoing support and accountability programs for lawyers and law firms that will effectively: increase gross revenues and personal incomes, reduce stress and the number of hours in the office, develop greater career satisfaction and allow more time for family and personal interests. Atticus provides business experience, systems, and support that most lawyers have little exposure to - a luxury that few can afford in today's intensely competitive market. In 1996,"The Making of a Rainmaker - An Ethical Guide to Developing New Clients", authored by Mark Powers and Shawn McNalis was published by the Florida Bar. At the same time, in 1996, a pilot study was commissioned by Attorneys' Title Insurance Fund to objectively determine the success of Atticus training and development programs. The study was successful and in 1997 Atticus formed a strategic partnership with Attorneys' Title Insurance Fund which serves over 6,800 real property attorneys in Florida and beyond. In June of 1998, Lawyers Weekly, USA began tracking a random group of Atticus trained lawyers through a training and development program. The opening article was entitled, "Redesign Your Practice To Serve Your Life - Coaching Programs Helps Lawyers Put It All Together". Lawyers Weekly concluded their series in March of 1999 with an article entitled, "Creating The Practice (And the Life) You Want - Lawyers Cut Hours, Increase Profits Through Coaching Program". The MBA Bar Journal and Florida Bar News subsequently developed a similar series as well. In 1999 Atticus formed a strategic relationship with the Florida Bar, with over 66,000 members, through the Practice Management and Development Section. In 2002 Atticus formed strategic relationships with the New York State Bar Association, with over 70,000 members and the South Carolina Bar with over 10,000 members. Over the last 18 years Atticus has trained well over 10,000 attorneys through seminar and training programs with Bar associations, law firms, and private organizations serving the legal profession in Florida, Massachusetts, Texas, Wisconsin, Georgia, New York, Louisiana, Mississippi, Colorado, Arizona, and many other states. Atticus is currently negotiating with a number of Bar associations in the U.S. and internationally to bring the Atticus training and development programs to as many lawyers as possible. Share This:
