Avita Community Partners
Avita Community Partners was formed by the 1993 Georgia State Legislature to serve persons experiencing the disabling effects of mental illness, developmental disabilities, and addictive diseases. Avita serves individuals from 13 counties in North Georgia, including Banks, Dawson, Forsyth, Franklin, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Lumpkin, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union and White Counties. Originally founded as Georgia Mountains Community Services (GMCS), Avita Community Partners' mission is to improve quality of life for persons with behavioral health and developmental disabilities.
