Avli was created 25 years ago, in 1987, in an effort to optimize and upgrade the historic center of Rethymnon. Avli is housed in a cluster of beautiful Venetian buildings of the 16th century offering the visitor a real acquaintance with the life of Crete. Avli features a unique blend of traditional Cretan architecture with modern luxury and aesthetic. The same approach characterizes the kitchen. We prepare what we call Creative Cretan cuisine. This is a truly authentic dining experience with the Cretan cuisine, using raw materials of indisputable quality combining a contemporary culinary concept and design with the renowned hospitality of the Cretans.
