Awaroa Lodge is committed to the Ethos of Ecological and Bio-organic sustainability. The Green Globe policy and strict National Park policy of "Treading the Earth lightly" imposes additional costs. Our remote location means we are subject to considerable on costs merely to sustain and deliver our high quality of service to our Guests. We urge an understanding of our organization whereby we have to collect our product and bring everything here for you via a remote Depot, back country roads and tidal estuary barges, thence by small bike and trailer delivery to our site here. May I urge your consideration of our on costs and acceptance that our surcharge on foods and beverages are merely a reflection of the isolation and difficulties of providing our service to you - our Guest.
