"Azersu" OJSC continues to implement projects to improve the population's drinking water and sanitation services in Baku and surrounding settlements. In accordance with the Action Plan of the Company, the implementation of the new project was launched in Masazir settlement of Absheron district. Within the framework of the project, a centralized drinking water network is being established in the Sari Ashig Street in Masazir settlement and surrounding areas. Most of these areas had no centralized drinking water supply systems. The water supply was built by the population in a primitive manner and did not meet any requirements. There were frequent accidents as water lines were in an emergency condition. Especially during the summer, it was impossible to increase the water pressure to provide houses located in high areas. Taking into account all this, the implementation of the project on the creation of centralized water supply systems in the area has begun. Within the framework of the project, 18 km long water network is being constructed with various diameter pipes in the Sari Ashig Street of Masazir settlement and surrounding areas. Subscribers will be merged to newly established network and meters will be installed for them. In total, about 5,000 residents will benefit from the work done in these areas.
