Bakker Barendrecht is one of The Netherlands' major fresh produce companies. We're proud of our long-standing relationship with our most important retail customer, a leading Dutch supermarket chain. In the business-to-business market we also work with a top supplier of fresh pre cut vegetables and processed fruit. We also serve a select number of export clients. It's our mission to contribute to the success of our customers and to enjoy doing that. Bakker is very much a hands-on company. In the Netherlands, our 700 employees are based in Ridderkerk and Ossendrecht. We handle more than 1,400 tonnes of fresh produce on a daily basis, which adds up to 85 million crates of fruit and vegetables per year. We source our products from as nearby as possible and from as far away as necessary. Bakker is part of Greenyard.
