The Baldwin School of Puerto Rico An International Baccalaureate Continuum World School

We intend the Baldwin School of Puerto Rico to be one of the world's elite preparatory schools, and our track record so far suggests that we are well on our way. We are now an International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Program (PYP) and Middle Years Program (MYP). We are in candidacy for Diploma Programs (DP). The Class of 2019 will be our first Diploma Candidates. IB is the gold standard in college preparatory education, and we are proud to be the first authorized program in Puerto Rico's history. We are now raising funds for an Innovation Center, intended to be our playground for aspiring scientists, engineers and entrepreneurs. The Innovation Center will also offer a digital age secondary school library, and will allow us to completely redesign our current library spaces as an elementary literacy lab. We intend to break ground in school year 2018-2019. We overhauled our electronic infrastructure to support the deployment of iPads from PPK-8. We now boast high speed wireless that matches or exceeds capabilities available at the best colleges and universities. We will employ a variety of educational software beginning school year 2016-2017 in support of literacy and numeracy in our Primary Years Program. We aspire to be an Apple Distinguished School, and are working towards that designation now. In addition to our MYP Design Lab, we are building a PYP Ideation Laboratory for early childhood and elementary students, opening Fall 2016. The Baldwin School of Puerto Rico is an International Baccalaureate World School. We are members of the Caribbean Association of Independent Schools, the National Association of Independent Schools, and are accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. We also hold memberships in the National Federation of High Schools and the National Interscholastic Athletics Administrators Association. We are in partnership with numerous American colleges and universities through the Consortium for Overseas Student Teaching.
