Since then, the magazine has grown into a recognizable brand and community resource publication. In 2017, we launched YMM Parent, the only magazine in the region that offers resources for parents. YMM Parent readers will find feature stories and information targeted at highlighting families living in our unique and resilient northern Alberta community. Our entirely digital media outlet, YMM News, was launched in 2020 to address the need for connection in the time of isolation, focusing on feature stories of the people who live, work and play here. Each publication and outlet has been added to the Balsom Communications portfolio to diversify our reach within the region and serve our community. We are also very proud of our signature community projects that we deliver within the brands of our signature publications including the Top 50 under 50, Top 20 under 20, and Best of YMM projects. We additionally publish special commemorative editions that are timely to ensure we fully capture the major events of our region including our 2016-2017 Fire Editions, the 2018 Wood Buffalo Alberta Winter Games special edition, the 2020 Flood Edition and the upcoming 2022 Arctic Winter Games special edition.
