Further, Balter Beerworks has been developed with the aid and counsel of expert restaurant and brewery consultants - Chattanooga's Square One Holding Co., which has a minority ownership in Balter Beerworks and continues to provide support to the Balter leadership team in preparation for the grand opening. Square One is led by founder and current president, Allen Corey, who is the former CEO of Big River Brewing Co., Gordon-Biersch Brewery Restaurant Group and most recently CraftWorks Restaurants & Breweries, Inc. Balter Beerworks has hired more than 60 employees since early December and is looking to fill a few additional staff positions, including dishwashers and hosts.
