At Barnhill, we know every individual student. Our aim is to provide them with the best possible education and make their time at school successful and enjoyable. Our care, guidance and support for students has a high reputation, and was said to be "Outstanding" by Ofsted. Our Pastoral teams make sure that the welfare of every individual is looked after so they can thrive and feel safe. We are ambitious for every student's Achievement. High quality lessons and close monitoring of individual progress means that students make very good progress in their studies. Our curriculum is creative and suited to the strengths of each individual. The journey through Barnhill is Seven Years. Over that time, and through our "on track for success" programme, we plan carefully the skills and qualities to be developed. Different students have different ambitions - going to Oxford or Cambridge, taking a Vocational Degree, becoming a High Level Apprentice. Through hard work and dedication, all of these have been achieved by Barnhill students. Alongside the Academic Achievement, we are also ambitious for the personal development of all our students. We develop social and team skills, which are important in themselves and highly valued by employers. We encourage students to develop leadership skills, become independent in their thinking, and supportive and caring of others. Barnhill has a special environment, where, according to Ofsted "everyone in the school feels valued". We always strive to make improvements to our school community, and make it a place of which we can all feel proud.
