Baron Fig makes meticulously designed sketchbooks & notebooks for creative people and their ideas-it's the first in-house project from Joey Cofone Design. Why did you decide to do this project? We're a small group of thinkers (designers, illustrators, writers, entrepreneurs and the like) that love to sit down with a notebook and give birth to interesting thoughts. While today's digital age is fantastic-we love technology-we're of the belief that all great work still starts on paper. There isn't a book or a brand out there that we absolutely love, so we're making it. But aren't there a lot of notebooks already out there? We've found most notebooks fail to satisfy the needs of thinkers like us. There are some that have become exceedingly corporate and others that simply don't work: they are bulky, don't lay flat, or pages rip out of spiral bindings. We feel that the books available aren't right for what we do on a daily basis. So what's different about Baron Fig from the rest? We've been carrying notebooks and sketchbooks around our whole lives, and use them for every single project we work on. There are 4 primary benefits in our design: Opens Flat-your ideas transfer easily to the page. Quality Lasting Paper-using acid-free paper with an ever so slight texture, feel your pencil or pen come in contact with the page and safely archive to your heart's content. Smart Dimensions-sitting on your couch or in the train and holding the book with one hand? With smarter dimensions you'll be able to work on one page with more room than leading notebooks. Plenty O' Pages-some books are too small and that makes each page feel precious; others are too thick to carry around. With 192 pages, we feel we got it just right. (Bonus-it's made with love.)
