Barry Food Sales

Established in 1980 by Barry Katz, Barry Food Sales was the 1st brokerage in the tri-state region to represent manufacturers who further process USDA Commodities. Utilizing his experience from his familys beef business, Barry partnered with over 1500 school districts and 20 manufacturers to develop innovative ways for schools to fully utilize their USDA Government Commodities. Barrys knowledge and experience is one of a kind and while on a family ski trip in 2012, his daughter Bonnie and her husband John decided to join the BFS team and carry on the family tradition. Today, Barry Foods is a 3rd generation family owned food brokerage who specializes in school nutrition in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. Together they continue to position the company as the most innovative school nutrition brokerage who can compete with the national brokerages while still having the values of a family owned business.
