Barton Lodge Veterinary Centre was established in Hemel Hempstead over 50 years ago. Dogs, cats, rabbits, and small furry pets are all treated professionally and our qualified, trained and friendly staff provide a high quality service. Because our receptionists, vets and nurses are all pet owners too, we can all understand and sympathise with the feelings and concerns you have for your own pets. Roger and Cathy Wickenden, plus the veterinary surgeon team, all contribute to a wide range of skills within the practice. They each have their own particular fields of interest and have followed in-depth studies in various aspects of surgery and medicine to add to the comprehensive care and expertise provided for pets by Barton Lodge vets. For eighteen years our Head Veterinary Nurse Nicci Hawes RVN has lead our team of enthusiastic qualified and student Veterinary Nurses. Barton Lodge Veterinary Centre is an offical approved Training Practice where Veterinary Nurses gain their VN qualification. We are reapproved at annual inspections, most recently Autumn 2014 and have received RCVS Practice Standards accreditation. Barton Lodge Veterinary Centre has gained recognition of our whole practice committment to staff training and development. The refurbished premises and facilities were re-accredited for the RCVS Practice Standards scheme in October 2014, ensuring that an on-going high quality service is being provided by both the Barton Lodge and Vets Now staff teams.
