Basilica of Our Lady
The Church of Our Lady is a Roman Catholic faith community located in the historic Portland neighborhood of West Louisville (see map). Founded in 1839, it is the second oldest Catholic parish in the city and the third oldest in the Archdiocese of Louisville. It serves approximately 100 households and the local community through weekly Mass, community outreach and fellowship. If you are interested in becoming a member of the parish please contact the parish office or download our membership form. As part of the Archdiocean Parish Reorganization Plan, Our Lady will merge with St. Cecilia (see map) and St. Anthony parishes, both located in the Portland neighborhood. The Archbishop designated Our Lady as the host worship site for the new parish, which will be given a new name. Read news about the merger process.
