The roots of our organisation are humble and the growth organic. We believe in growing with the people's trust in us. Primarily BATAS made its name in automobiles and slowly extended itself into banking (hire-purchase), remittance, energy, leasing management, tours and travels. BATAS boasts 11 subsidiaries looking after different interests. The company was initiated by Mr. Shree Ram Prasad Batas in 1967 in Pokhara. Mr. Batas started with dealing in merchandise and clothing. His sincere commitment and ethical business practices helped him expand the business from a small town to the nearby city Pokhara. The second generation of Batas has widened the boundary of business. BATAS is now one of the best known companies in Nepal with strong networking with international partners. In the course of our expansion, we have been able to harness global partnership with international brands. BATAS is the sole distributor of Volvo Eicher, Fiat, Petronas, Globatt, and Himal Remit. We are also the regional dealer for Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, and TVS. Our remit company has a strong network of 2400 nodes all over the country. We have given direct employment to about 500 people, and indirect employment to tens of thousands.
